Shortly after the Chevrolet Avalanche was introduced in 2002 several new Arizona Avalanche owners started showing an interest in getting together with other Avalanche owners in Arizona. The name “azavs” (short for Arizona Avalanches) was adopted and a club was starting to form. Throughout the next couple of years several events were scheduled and friendships were created.

In March of 2005 the azavs members reorganized, established Club Officers, created Bylaws, compiled a Membership Packet, became sponsored by Thorobred Chevrolet in Chandler and launched a new Website.

The “Arizona Avalanches” Club is growing more and more each month. We meet every second Tuesday of the month at Thorobred Chevrolet. Our calendar is posted with several events scheduled every month. If you have not yet attended a get-together, we invite you to pick a date and join us whenever you can.

All of the Arizona Avalanche members look forward to continued growth, meeting new people and enjoying good times with the many friends we have made.
